It is with regret that the Sky Blue Trust announce the closure of the Freedom of the City campaign for the 1987 FA Cup Winning Team.

After several conversations with different members of Coventry City Council it has become clear that they will not even think  about giving this much deserved honour to those who did so much for the City twenty years ago.

 The Sky Blue Trust are taking an active role in helping Coventry City Football Club celebrate the twenieth anniversary of the FA Cup Win and also the fortieth anniversary of the 1967 Promotion Winning Team.

We  would like to thank everyone who took time to support the campaign by signing the petition and are disappointed that the Council would not honour the team.
