Urgent Message to Members- We Need Your Reponse

Dear Trust Member   In the last few days the Sky Blue Trust board has been shown clear proof that the “Golden Share” lies with CCFC Ltd and therefore the club should be run by the Administrator Paul Appleton and not Tim Fisher and CCFC (Holdings) Ltd.   The Trust board has been alarmed and disappointed that Tim Fisher has complete disregard for the views and wishes of Sky Blue supporters and is still pushing ahead with plans for moving the club away from Coventry for a minimum of 3 years and building a new stadium. These plans can only become reality if SISU regain control of the club.   We believe these plans are flawed and would ultimately drive the club back into administration and possibly kill it altogether. -          For...

Sky Blue Trust Statement 18/05/2013

Sky Blue Trust: Statement on current situation When Coventry City FC Limited was placed into administration Paul Appleton of David Rubin & Partners LLP was appointed as joint administrator. This means he is in charge of the business. This is established in law. We are therefore confused about why Tim Fisher, former Chief Executive of Coventry City FC, and who we believe is still employed by Coventry City FC (Holdings) Ltd, appears to be exerting such influence over the actions of Paul Appleton, particularly around the future of the club at the Ricoh Arena. We are currently seeking legal clarification of this understanding, as we are concerned to ensure that Paul Appleton is acting in the best interests of the creditors. Ultimately, the decisions made by Paul Appleton and...

After todays meeting with CCFC LTD administrator Paul Appleton and his team, the board members present left feeling totally frustrated and with grave concerns over the future of the club.

We are disappointed that the resolution of the location of the Golden Share appears to be no closer.

As is our policy, we will continue to talk to all parties in an effort to progress the situation to a satisfactory conclusion.

We have not agreed to any other action than continued dialogue with all parties.

Following the Trust Boards meeting with the administrator, Paul Appleton, several issues were raised and explained. The first being the location and ownership of the Golden Share. Mr Appleton explained his investigation was still on going and pointed out that there may be a conflict between the legal ownership and the beneficial ownership of the golden share.

The second major matter covered was Mr Appleton’s announcement that he is opening up the sales process tomorrow, Friday 17th May, for the right, title or interest in the golden share and any other assets that may lie in CCFC Ltd.

The meeting was positive and constructive with a willingness from both sides to continue dialogue and co-operation.
