Trust Statement 16/05/2013
After todays meeting with CCFC LTD administrator Paul Appleton and his team, the board members present left feeling totally frustrated and with grave concerns over the future of the club.
We are disappointed that the resolution of the location of the Golden Share appears to be no closer.
As is our policy, we will continue to talk to all parties in an effort to progress the situation to a satisfactory conclusion.
We have not agreed to any other action than continued dialogue with all parties....
Joint Statement from CCFC LTD Aministrator and The Sky Blue Trust
Following the Trust Boards meeting with the administrator, Paul Appleton, several issues were raised and explained. The first being the location and ownership of the Golden Share. Mr Appleton explained his investigation was still on going and pointed out that there may be a conflict between the legal ownership and the beneficial ownership of the golden share.
The second major matter covered was Mr Appleton’s announcement that he is opening up the sales process tomorrow, Friday 17th May, for the right, title or interest in the golden share and any other assets that may lie in CCFC Ltd.
The meeting was positive and constructive with a willingness from both sides to continue dialogue and co-operation.
Keep Coventry City FC in Coventry
Following the recent backing from members for the Trust Boards stance in declining Tim Fishers request to work with him on moving our team’s home games outside of Coventry we would very much like to bring to your attention the petition being run by the Coventry Telegraph.
The petition simply states “I demand that the owners and board of Coventry City do not take my club out of Coventry”. The Trust Board fully supports the Coventry Telegraph campaign and if you wish to add your name to the petition simply follow the link below. At the time of writing over 6500 people had signed.
On Behalf of Sky Blue Trust
Tuesday, 07 May 2013 10:57
We've had a number of requests for a report of Jan Mokrzycki and John Fletcher's meeting with Tim Fisher, Steve Waggott and Steve Brookfield at the Sky Blue Lodge, Ryton on 25 April.
The sole outcome of the meeting, after Tim Fisher restated that the owners are working on plans to play home matches at a venue outside Coventry, was a request by Mr Fisher for the Trust to assist in this planning process.
Following the meeting, the Sky Blue Trust Board considered the request. Given the seriousness of the issue, the Trust Board decided to consult Trust members on whether to agree to Mr Fisher’s request. A message to Trust members was sent on 2 May and members will be informed of the outcome of the consultation during the week beginning 6 May.
